The Art of Succulents has been creating terrarium kits in the UK since 2016. Build a closed terrarium, a lush forest of ferns and moss that recycles its own moisture, or an open terrarium with succulents and cacti for a bright windowsill.

Our kits include the glass, soil and materials to build it, with the option of hand-picked plants, living moss and tools. Already have a jar? Our starter kits and terrarium plant packs have everything to fill it.   • How do I care for my terrarium plants?

    All our terrarium plants are easy to care for provided you follow a few simple tips.
    Plants love natural light so placing them near a window and not directly over a radiator is ideal.
    A full terrarium care sheet is included with every kit and we also have some online plant care guides below.

  • Can I order in advance?

    As our terrarium kits contain living plants, we offer a scheduled delivery service. Simply order your item today and add a note to your order at checkout saying when you would like it delivered. You can order up to 3 months in advance and we will deliver your order as close to your requested date as possible. We'll hold your item for you and pack your plants just before dispatch.

  • How will my order be packaged?

    All terrarium kits are carefully packaged after you place your order. The living terrarium plants are packed within their own wrapping for added protection making our kits ideal as a gift.

  • How will my terrarium kit arrive?

    If you are ordering one of our DIY terrarium kits, it will arrive neatly packaged with all elements separated and ready to assemble. Once unpacked, your terrarium kit will appear similar to the picture below. Our kits are easy to assemble and great fun too! We include simple step by step instructions on how to build a terrarium.

Meet our founder

Matt Andrews grew up surrounded by all types of cacti and succulent plants, his father had a true passion for these wonderful plants (and still does 40 years later!).

As a professional product designer, Matt wanted to explore and showcase the natural beauty living terrariums encouraging people to bring a bit of nature into their home.

In 2016 The Art of Succulents was born..... and is still growing fast!!!!
