FAQ's

How do I care for my plants?

All our plants are easy to care for provided you follow some simple guidelines.....
Succulents benefit from about 6 hours of sunlight per day so are best placed in a bright, well lit room. Placing them near a window and not directly over a radiator is ideal.
A full care sheet is included with every kit and we also have some online plant care guides here.

How will my order be packaged?

All kits are carefully packaged after you place your order and include everything you need. The living plants are packed within their own box for added protection making our kits ideal as a gift.

How will my terrarium kit arrive?

If you are ordering one of our terrarium kits, it will arrive neatly packaged with all elements separated and ready to assemble. Once unpacked, your kit will appear similar to the picture below. Our kits are easy to assemble and great fun too!

How easy are your kits to assemble?

Full step by step instructions are included with each kit. Our terrariums are really enjoyable to assemble and the instructions are clear and simple to follow.
Supplying our products in kit form allows you to really appreciate your plants (hands on) and the nature of your unique product.

Can I order in advance as a gift for someone?

As our kits contain living plants, we offer a scheduled delivery service. Simply order your item today and add a note to your order at checkout saying when you would like it delivered. You can order up to 3 months in advance and we will deliver your order as close to your requested date as possible. We'll hold your item for you and pack your plants just before dispatch.

My order is a gift, will you ship an invoice with the price on it?

Many of our customers make gift purchases, therefore all orders are packed with just a delivery note. This includes details of the item purchased but no mention of the price paid.

Will my plants arrive with a plant passport?

As of 14th December 2019 all cactus and succulent plants purchased online from within the UK and EU must be shipped with an appropriate plant passport (this also applies to most other plant types).

In order to sell plants online, retailers must be authorised by the Department for Environmental Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to issue plant passports. The plant passport is a simple label that allows plants to be traced back to their origin.

The Art of Succulents are an authorised retailer and all our cactus and succulent plants will arrive with the relevant plant passport information attached.

We advise against purchasing from any online retailers who are not authorised to supply this information.
